Pomppa has signed the Finnish Carbon Neutral Textile 2035 covenant. By doing so, the sympathetic producer of dog coats promises to work hard for hip and comfortable dog coats that are manufactured carbon neutrally. According to CEO Minna Hyrsky, this fits in with the company’s core values: “We want to learn and improve ourselves every day, so that we can leave a positive footprint.”
Finland has big ambitions: it wants to be completely carbon neutral by 2035. The Finnish business community is taking the lead in this ambition with sector-specific roadmaps for a low-carbon economy. The Carbon Neutral Textile 2035 alliance was conceived by employers’ organization Suomen Tekstiili & Muoti ry. Within the alliance, several Finnish textile and fashion brands are actively working together to find ways to reduce their climate impact. They receive tools, training and guidance to work together to make the sector carbon neutral by 2035.
The Carbon Neutral Textile 2035 alliance fits perfectly with Pomppa’ ambitions. “This is just one step on our path to becoming a more sustainable company, but an important one”, says Minna Hyrsky, CEO of Pomppa. “This alliance provides us with a set of tools and a shared goal, but we also know that this is not enough. We want to set more ambitious goals for our activities, because more climate action is needed at a much faster pace.” With the Carbon Neutral Textile 2035 alliance, Pomppa aims to identify and target its own carbon emissions with effective actions.
To leave a more positive footprint, Pomppa is working on more responsible ways of working and producing in a variety of ways. Pomppa’ dog coats therefore do much more than provide protection from the elements. The coats offer plenty of freedom of movement, have a functional and timeless design, and are made to last. The Finnish company wants every dog to fully enjoy outdoor activities, regardless of the weather, and the sustainable coats will last a dog’s life. Pomppa’s dog coats also stay perfectly in place without painful straps or elastic bands. And that makes the brand very popular in the dog sport world as well.

By mid-February, a whole month’s worth of rain has fallen in some places. And the coming weeks we’ll see even more rain. So this spring seems to be much wetter than average. But don’t let the rain stop you from going out with your dog! With the Pomppa rain coates, your dog will stay dry, even in heavy rain. And when you come home from the wet adventures outside, you can keep your house clean and your dog dry with the Doggy Dry and Quick Dry by EQDOG.
A raincoat is no superfluous luxury these wet days. Not even for your dog. Pomppa is the brand for sporty dog coats, which are designed in such a way that your dog always experiences a maximum freedom of movement without constricting elastic bands in the groin or around the base of its tail. The SadePomppa is a lightweight raincoat that your dog can wear all year round and protects against even heavy rain. The dogcoat is made of a thin, waterproof outer fabric and the lining is made of a smooth, anti-static material that does not absorb moisture or collect fur. Therefore, it can be used even in warmer weather to prevent the dog from getting wet.
Because it is still quite chilly, a padded raincoat is not a bad idea either. The padded KevytPomppa dogcoat by Pomppa doesn’t have any constricting elastics either, and also stays comfortably in place. The jacket offers plenty of protection against the nasty rain thanks to its waterproof top layer. Meanwhile, the anti-static and soft inner layer keeps your dog nice and warm in the rain. The KevytPomppa is available in 8 different colours and is equipped with reflectors in the collar and on the seam, so that your dog is clearly visible. In addition, the raincoat has a spacious collar with an opening for the leash.
Not all towels are the same. This is proven by the Quick Dry from EQDOG. This towel for dogs is made from a highly absorbent high-tech microfibre fabric. This makes the towel perfect for drying your dog quickly. The Quick Dry itself also dries quickly, is machine washable at 30 degrees and can be taken along for every walk. Or you can leave it in the car. This prevents muddy paw prints in the car and wet car seats. The Quick Dry is available in the colour grey and in two sizes:
Don’t feel like drying off your dog? Or do you have a dog that prefers not to be rubbed dry? Then the Doggy Dry is your solution. You can easily put this bath robe by EQDOG on over your dog’s head and it dries your dog faster than you can by rubbing your dog with your average towel or dog bathrobe. That is because this bathrobe is also made with the highly absorbent high-tech microfibre fabric – just like EQDOG’s Quick Dry. The long belly flap of the bathrobe absorbs all the moisture that runs down the back and the top piece nicely covers the back. So the Doggy Dry protects your car, walls, furniture and yourself, but also keeps your dog nice and warm.
