Introduce (ex-)puppies to Pomppa

The wave of corona puppies is creating a lot of new dog owners. A large proportion of them are going to experience winter with their little four-legged friend for the first time. Help them get started right with Pomppa’s dog coats. Because they keep every dog – big or small, playful or quiet – nice and warm and dry.

Wrapping up warm

You can use a dog coat as a fashion accessory, but for some dogs it is essential to get through the winter in good health. Especially puppies, older dogs and dogs with a thin coat can easily get cold. That’s why a dog coat belongs on the coat rack of the average dog owner. You can use a dog coat against the cold, but also against the rain. And the different dog coats and dog sweaters by Pomppa are always the right solution. They offer an excellent fit, allowing every dog to maintain its freedom of movement and the jacket always stays in place.

Puppy toilet training
When the cold comes, it can also have an effect on puppy toilet training. After all, there are plenty of young dogs who prefer not to go outside in the winter and want to walk as short as possible. Let alone lower their buttocks towards the cold ground to do their business. With a dog coat you can make the walk a lot more pleasant and prevent the toilet training from taking longer.

Unique quality and ultimate comfort

Pomppa’s dog coats are very popular because of the ergonomic fit that guarantees maximum freedom of movement. Unlike most dog coats, Pomppa does not use nasty, pinching elastic bands in the groin or at the tail. Moreover, the coats are easy to wash and dry super fast. In addition, the Finnish brand makes sure that the dog coats and dog sweaters come in super nice prints and trendy colors – and for the 21/22 season, the colors petrol and orange have been added.

Easy to put on

Pomppa’s dog coats always fit like a glove. Just as long as you choose the right size and put them on properly. That’s why you should share the handy instructional video that Pomppa has made. The right size depends on the type of dog, the amount of fur, the position of the tail, the intended use of the coat and the energy level of the dog. Because that can affect the perfect model and fit.

5 safety tips for the dark days of winter

Many dog owners and horse lovers know that hiking in the winter months can be a challenge. It remains dark for a long time in the morning and by late afternoon it can get pitch black. That’s why it’s important to pay extra attention to the safety of you, your dog and/or your horse. Take advantage of these 5 tips!

Tip 1: No unbeaten paths

The winter is not a time to seek adventure, especially not in the dark. Make sure you walk, whenever possible, on well-lit footpaths, bicycle paths or bridleways and try to avoid unlit, remote paths. Do you want to try out a new route? Then try it out during the day. In that way you’ll be better prepared if you do want to do another hike in the dark.

Tip 2: Glow-in-the-dark toys

Do you have a playful dog? Then you still need to give that energy free rein, even when it’s dark. You can do that with a glow-in-the-dark ball. The big advantage is that not only you can easily follow the dog, but you won’t lose the ball either. Just make sure there are no toxic substances in the ball!

Tip 3: Wear safety lights

Use safety lights, such as the Orbiloc Safety Lights, on your dog’s collar or harness or on your horse’s saddle. These handy lights can be turned on or off, but also spread a steady stream of light that can still be seen from a great distance. The lights are waterproof, so you can also rely on them when you are walking in the rain.

Tip 4: Reflective clothing

A smart rider or dog owner also makes sure he or she is highly visible. You can do that by choosing a winter coat with reflective details. With the outdoor jackets from Owney Outdoor you will always stand out in traffic, look fashionably dressed and enjoy a great fit. Of course, you can also attach safety lights to your boots or to your jacket for optimal visibility.

Tip 5: Watch the traffic

Always keep a close eye on traffic! Not all motorists, cyclists or walkers have a good overview of traffic in the dark. You can also be attacked by cyclists without a bicycle light – this is where an Orbiloc safety light certainly helps, as they can still provide some illumination themselves.
